II Corinthians 4:5-7

"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, Who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

Good morning, friends; and truly a GOOD morning it can be to you!

In our last discussion we considered the conditions and terms for citizenship in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. The reason why so many good Christians are not highly successful, healthy and very happy people, is largely founded in the fact that they hope for a future kingdom of joy, of peace and abundance. But the Son of God was a Realist, He lived in the present, He dealt with the conditions as He found them obtaining in His day, and He lived in the eternal now. When He came across the sick, He did not tell them to be patient and bear up under the handicap or suffering, and that if they continued patiently to be "a good little boy or girl," then they would enjoy health and happiness in a future home in some uncertain tomorrow. No indeed! He told a man, in the plainest of words, that if he wanted health and strength, and had the faith to believe that God was willing to grant it to him, then he should have it here and now according to his faith. Those were the very words He spoke time and time and time again: "According to your faith be it unto you" (Matt. 9:29). Wherefore, the inescapable conclusion is that, since the faith of so many Christians today is conditioned by the false perspective that the salvation (as they call it) is for a future world and an uncertain tomorrow; and that want, misery and suffering must be expected in the here and now, well – according to their faith it is done unto them.

Hear The Voice of Tomorrow, which today makes plain the words of truth spoken by our Lord, the understanding of which shall fill the earth from sea to sea, as waters do the ocean. Clearly is it said that the "abundance of peace" shall be like a mighty river (Isa. 48:18, 66:12). In that God put those two concepts together, that is, "abundance of peace," He was telling us of a great deal more than merely a condition without war. For the abundance of peace is the fullness of peace, and whosoever is sick, in misery, in want and lack of success is far from enjoying any peace, to say nothing of "the abundance of peace." That is the condition which God has promised unto His people who are truly His people, that is, those who have accepted Him as their absolute Head. And those promises are for today, for the here and for the now. But bear in mind that these are only for His people. Here, when I say His people, I'm not referring to world Jewry. They were the Chosen People, that is, a key people to implement certain conditions. But the people who are truly His people are the people who give Him their entire heart: their soul, strength and time; such are not only His children, but also His true citizens.

We should understand that citizens of His kingdom, who are called His true children, do not live in conditions of perpetual misery and unhappiness. They are the citizens of the great King; they sing and shout for sheer joy of heart! Ordinarily they know no want, for their Father owns the universe, including our earth and the fullness thereof. While if, as, and when they have been foolish, and gotten themselves into some kind of a jam, more or less, they can still shout and sing for joy, because they have a mighty Savior Who is both able and willing to deliver them.

However, we should not interpret this to mean that the children of God can do any kind of foolishness, getting themselves into trouble, with the thought that the Lord will take care of them. His citizens are His true children, and they, like true children on earth, cannot do wrong knowingly, and still get away with it. But the true child of a right parent on earth may occasionally do serious wrong. A prudent parent is in no hurry to undo that foolishness for the child, because he knows that lessons must be learned. Yet when that right parent sees the unmistakable signs of remorse, of repentance-in-grief for the error, then, I say, a right parent becomes anxious to undo a folly for the child-of-his-love – even though a grievous error – to such extent as that is possible, and to cover for that child-of-his-love in whom he sees the right spirit. Precisely the same is our Heavenly Father towards His true children here on earth; for clearly is it written that God created man in His Own image and after His Own likeness did He make man (Gen. 1:26-27). Therefore, the best and the noblest which dwells within man is the very image of God our Father in Heaven. Let me stress to you Christians, that if you have entered into some error, and you are under pressure as a result, know that the loving Heavenly Father sees it good that the lesson should be impressed upon you. And so soon as that is fact, and He sees the unmistakable signs of repentance and the proper spirit, then is He also willing to hear and deliver you, and set you up on your feet to again walk with Him – as a true son or daughter.

According to the Gospel of John 6:37 we read, "All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." That was an unconditional promise by the Son of God. However, the statement itself constituted a condition of going to Him.

Here the original Greek is slightly different than the King James Authorized Version's "...cometh to Me...." In the original Greek the words mean, "HE that approaches toward Me." It implies a continuous state of going towards, or approaching, Him. We are expected to understand that the children of men cannot take a few steps straight up to the face of the Son of God. He is a spiritual Being; we are earthlings...and for earthlings, it is a lifetime job to go towards the Son of God. Yet unto those who enter into that estate of perpetually striving to approach our Lord and Redeemer, He unconditionally promised that they would not be cast out. Usually that is interpreted to apply to a future kingdom, which most people think of as heaven. Yet this is only partly true, for the simple reason that our Lord lives in the present and dwells in the here and now. He who is accepted is accepted now and here, not in the dim and distant future of an uncertain world. If our God is not a God of the here and the now, then He's not a realist. Yet our Bible, both the Old and the New Testament, abounds with the clearest statements of God's realism and His practicality, and of His ever present, down-to-earth reasonableness for the here and for the now.

The King James Authorized Version, which renders His words, "...in no wise cast out," are in the Greek closer to the equivalent of our English, "...under no circumstances will I cast you out." We are born into this world and of the world, yet our Lord said that when we decide to be through with the world, when we give up our citizenship in this world, which is Lucifer's domain, and become generated anew into His kingdom, then, so long as our face is set towards Him, and our steps perpetually directed toward Him – then, regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the errors, and regardless of our momentary blindness and stumbling in consequence thereof, when He sees that we are with determination scrambling to our feet, and our face is set like a flint to approach towards Him – then there just is no such a thing, not under any circumstances such a thing, as His pronouncing unfavorable judgment and turning against the true child of His, whose heart is right.

Hear The Voice of Tomorrow, which bids you start singing and start shouting with great joy, because our Lord and Redeemer is the very King of this universe. His sons and daughters are children of great joy; they are of royal birth, they are heirs of this universe, they have an everlasting possession in the kingdom of God, and that kingdom of God is not limited to an unseen world and an uncertain tomorrow, but commences right here and right now and extends into time unending and wherever that may be.

Of the Lord's great intercessory prayer which He prayed on that last night with His disciples, you may read in the 17th chapter of John's Gospel. In the 16th verse you will read how He spoke these words of, or concerning, His disciples: "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." This is that which I shared in the last message and I am again dwelling on this time: citizenship. It makes not an iota of difference to which church you belong, or to how many churches you belong; if your heart is part and parcel of the present "Babylon" (instituted by his Satanic Majesty), then are you a child of this world and a citizen of the Devil's kingdom. But when the spirit within has decided that the throne of your heart boots out Lucifer to lay its crown at the feet of Jesus Christ, then, although you may remain in this world, you are no longer of this world because your citizenship has been accepted in heaven by and through the Son of God. That was the state of heart of the eleven disciples who stood before Him while He was praying to the Father in Heaven. And because of that heart condition, He said, "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." When that is the estate of your own heart, then know that under no circumstances will the Lord Jesus Christ cast you out, nor turn against you.

For a great many years you may have lived in the world and have been of the world and you may have made a multitude of errors and possibly committed sin. These may have brought a train of consequences. Maybe health is more or less ruined, maybe you have built up great debts and possibly brought grave conditions upon yourself. Do not think that God is going to brush these aside overnight, nor even waive them over the weekend while you go fishing. There may be very serious lessons of which He sees you are in need, and which must be deeply impressed upon the fabric of your soul. Therefore, He wants you to rise to the challenge of this: that as a son or daughter of His, you may start afresh with great joy in your heart and determination in your soul to use the unwanted conditions as stepping stones unto success, unto health and strength, unto joy, peace and great happiness. And to this end will He help, and that mightily, so soon as He sees your heart is fully right. But if He sees that your chief ambition is founded in the things of this world, then at the best are you only a second-class citizen of His realm, and, consequently, your progress will be slow, for the true child of His looks to spiritual values instead of the earthly. And when the spiritual values have been fully appreciated, and properly sought out and developed, then – said He – all these things which the Gentiles seek after will He add unto you in great abundance (Matt. 6:31-33).

Now is the accepted time of salvation, says the word of God (II Cor. 6:2). Therefore, now is the time to become a citizen of the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. When that you are, you may start singing with great joy, because you have taken the greatest step of your life, which shall bear fruit in abundance throughout eternity. Not only for eternity, but as commencing here and now.

The reason why so many people are slow, and even afraid, to accept the words of Jesus seriously, is because they believe that to be a true Christian at heart they have to lead a life of self-denial and misery in general. How terrifically in error! It is true that the life of some may give that impression, but that is because they have never truly understood the teachings of Jesus. Much to the contrary, He said that His way was an easy one; and those who were grieved and heavy of heart, He called unto Himself, that they might receive that which would enable them to start smiling and singing with great joy.

THAT is because our so-called "Christians" have been so brainwashed in Lucifer's universities that they have never entered into the rightful enjoyment of the precious fruits of His Kingdom for our Here and Now.

HIS joys await you....
